 Children’s Dentistry We love kids, and kids love us! At Southeast Family Dental, we give our youngest patients a great first dental experience. Our Kid’s Korner in the reception area helps children feel at ease in our office. During complimentary Happy Visits, kids can sit in the dental chair, meet our team, and discover that dentistry is fun! Each child takes home a toothbrush and toothpaste, and our dental hygienists provide gentle, positive instruction on how to brush. Plus, all children receive a special prize to help them remember that our office is a great place to visit!
As parents, we know that regular checkups are crucial to maintain the healthy smiles we want for our children. Dr. Bohnert concurs with the American Dental Association recommendation that children should see the dentist by their second birthday. Although this may seem early, it’s never too soon to encourage healthy dental habits.
At your child’s visit, we’ll explain how to clean your child’s teeth at home, provide information on diet and eating habits for a healthy smile, and examine your child’s mouth for tooth decay and other issues. Dr. Bohnert may suggest easy-to-apply dental sealants or a fluoride treatment to deter decay. He encourages the use of mouthguards for children involved in athletics. Dr. Bohnert and our team will care for your child as we would our own. We treat parents with tender loving care, too!

He takes safeguarding smiles seriously and has made custom mouthguards for athletes at Butler University, Roncalli High School, Franklin Central High School, and Warren Central High School.
