Hi, my name is Dr. Holly Austgen from Southeast Family Dental, and today we’re going to talk about Botox therapy and how we utilize it in our practice.
There are two main reasons why we use Botox therapy here at Southeast Family Dental. One may be the most obvious reason, which is for its cosmetic benefits. We utilize it to soften wrinkles and to kind of give you a little bit more of a relaxed and radiant appearance. The second reason we use it is to help with any muscle pain and tension that can be caused by clenching and grinding. When we use this for muscle pain, it’s often used in conjunction with a mouthguard.
So what’s involved if you want to benefit from Botox therapy? The first thing we do is we require a consultation appointment. This allows us to determine how you can best benefit from the Botox therapy as well as how much you may need to get the results you’re looking for.
After the consultation appointment, we will plan to place the therapy itself. This procedure doesn’t take long at all. It’s often very quick and you can get back to what you’re doing the very same day.
After the therapy’s been placed, we require a two week follow-up just to see if there’s any enhancements that may be needed to give you the results you were looking for.
If this sounds like something you could benefit from, give us a call at Southeast Family Dental, where we can make you smile.
