Air Abrasion
Air abrasion replaces our traditional dental drill. This technology uses a stream of compressed air and tiny abrasive particles to comfortably and efficiently remove decay and prepare teeth for restoration. This conservative treatment is so gentle that most patients don’t require anesthesia. With air abrasion, the vibration, pain, heat, smell, and noise associated with the dental drill are history.
Sterilization Center
Nothing is more important than your safety, and we want you to have complete peace of mind when you visit our office. That’s why our team at Southeast Family Dental adheres to rigorous sterilization procedures. You’ll notice our facemasks and gloves, as well as the protective covers on equipment and instruments.
To ensure your protection, all of our sterilization procedures meet or exceed OSHA and the American Dental Association’s guidelines. We use the most advanced sterilization systems available, and each member of our team is fully trained in these state-of-the-art practices.
Intraoral Cameras
Our tiny intraoral camera projects images from inside your mouth to a monitor in your treatment room. These highly detailed photos let Dr. Geiger, Dr. Jones, and Dr. Miller assess your oral health and show you where your smile needs work. This technology not only helps Dr. Geiger, Dr. Jones, and Dr. Miller diagnose problems, it helps patients become partners in treatment planning.
Digital X-rays
Digital X-rays emit 80% less radiation than traditional radiography. They provide Dr. Geiger, Dr. Jones, and Dr. Miller with the most modern, comprehensive imagery available so that they can accurately assess, diagnose, and recommend treatments. Digital X-rays are also better for the environment because they require no hazardous photographic developing chemicals.
Laser Dentistry
Lasers have revolutionized dentistry! They provide safe, fast, efficient care for a variety of dental procedures, including gum recontouring, periodontal therapy, crown lengthening, cavity detection, and more. Used for surgical procedures instead of a scalpel, lasers seal as they go. So there’s no need for stitches and bleeding is minimal. Most patients don’t require anesthesia with laser surgery, and healing time is quicker than with traditional surgical methods.
