Dentures: Types and the Process
- Partial Dentures: These prosthetic devices fit around your remaining teeth to complete your smile. They are held in place by dental clips, suction, and gravity.
- Complete Dentures: These prosthetic devices replace all missing teeth. They rest over the gum and rely on the bony ridges of your jaw and gravity for stability.
- Implant-Supported Dentures: Implant dentures use approximately four to six dental implants for advanced stabilization.

Modern dentures focus on fit and function. But today’s prosthetics also consider smile aesthetics. Using modern materials and image-guided planning, I create a prosthetic that allows you to chew more of your favorite foods and smile with confidence.
Denture Maintenance and Upkeep
With proper care, your dentures can last up to a decade or longer. For implant dentures, your implants should remain viable even when it's time to replace the prosthetic.
I recommend:
- Soaking your dentures overnight in a denture bath
- Brushing and rinsing them with room-temperature water during the day
- Reporting cracks and functional issues to my office as soon as possible
